Kerry King has been rocking stages all over the world for more than 30 years as the lead guitarist for thrash-metal band Slayer. Did you know he also provided the guitar solos for the Beastie Boys hits ‘Fight For Your Right (To Party)’ and ‘No Sleep Til Brooklyn’? (producer Rick Rubin was producing both Slayer and the Beasties at the time). Slayer have a long history as part of the Jägermeister Music Tour, perfroming on the tour in 2003, 2004 and fall 2010.
Now Jagermeister, best known among club-goers for it’s infamous Jager-bombs, launches a new campaign titled ‘A Stronger Bond’ that showcases the German liqueur for it’s power to bring people together socially. The campaign brings together seven men who not only represent the rugged edge of Jagermeister, but who also are part of a team that relies on a social bond for it’s success.
Besides Slayer guitarist Kerry King, the campaign features profiles of big-wave surfer Nathan Fletcher, five-time World Champion Bullfighter Rob Smets (don’t call him a radio clown, he is known as the cowboy lifesaver); street art and tattoo artist Mister Cartoon, 6-time NASCAR pit crew champion Mike Lingerfelt (#48 Jimmie Johnson, Lowe’s Chevrolet); World Champion Boxing Trainer Freddie Roach and former pro-football player Keyshawn Johnson.
The ‘Stronger Bond’ campaign was created by Venice Beach agency Mistress Creative, and features the talents of acclaimed film producer Albert Hughes (From Hell, Dead Presidents, Menace II Scoiety) and Emmy Award winning Director Alastair McKevitt.
