New Zealand Shoe Store Brings Cinderella to Life with Shoe Giveaway

Number One Shoes - Fairy Tale Shoe Giveaway

In a campaign inspired by the story of Cinderella, New Zealand’s Number One Shoes had women (and their boyfriends) racing around Auckland looking for packages containing a single-shoe. Live clues to the shoes locations were shared by bloggers and on Twitter and Facebook. Those people who found the box could bring it into the store’s Albany location to redeem for a free pair.

While the tag on the box says that the shoe should fit, I’m sure a few people managed to squeeze their feet into the shoes for the offer of a free pair.

The campaign was managed by Auckland PR agency Starseed.

Candle Ads Feature Striking Images of Nude Dancers Dripped in Warm Wax

Ecoya 'Just Add Candlelight'

Auckland-based agency Special Group and Australian fashion photographer Jez Smith, have collaborated to create a series of striking ads for Ecoya Soy candles. The ads feature two dancers from The Sydney Dance Company embracing each other as warm wax from the candles in dripped over their nude bodies.

Tony Bradbourne, Creative Director at Special Group told Campaign Brief: “We were really trying to evoke the idea of more pleasure, more romance, more sensuality – but in a simple, striking, visual way. We thought the idea of pouring wax over naked bodies, but just leaving the wax for the viewer to see, could achieve this.”

New Zealand DJs Play Peeping Toms in ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl’ Stunt

Secret Life of a Call Girl - New Zealand promo

On November 19, More-FM drivetime host Clarke Gayford began discussing a provocative scene unfolding in the window of a home across the street. A woman, who appeared to be a prostitute was interacting with her clients in full view of the radio station’s broadcast studios. Over the next 2 days, the activity in the window became the talk of the show, with Gayford and his on-air team providing a play-by-play description for their listeners.

All was revealed (pun intended) on the third day as it turned out to the whole event was a stunt for the new season of ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl‘ on New Zealand’s Prime.

Agency DraftFCB Auckland had taken a brief calling for a 30 second radio ad, and turned into a stunt that played out on the air and on social media by their hosts and listeners of 3 of Auckland’s top radio stations.
